Warming up for the Hallé!

A set exploring music for screen...the gaming screen. There will be classic video game arrangements performed live by Nintendo Game Boy and controlled in real-time with an Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI). There will be piano versions of others, from fan favourite Zelda’a Lullaby, toShadow of the Colossus: Prologue to the ancient Land involving extended piano techniques, to a virtuoso set of variations on theTetris theme. The set will close with two original piano works, one synchronised to a projection of Snake gameplay and the ther exploring the unique technical, instrumental and structural techniques used in Sinclair ZX Spectrum games.
